Good-bye goop…

Hello same day dentistry.

Once upon a time, going to the dentist was high on the list of places most of us really didn’t want to visit. But now, thanks to a vibrant, young Toronto dentist, Dr. Derek Chung, who treats his clients as guests, the dental experience is being redefined.  With same day dentistry done in one visit using digital workflow, a state-of-the-art milling system and 3D printing, you’ll be in and done before you know it.

“I hope to change the narrative around the traditionally unpleasant dental experience,” says Chung as he walks me through his marble lobby, introducing me to the office’s signature decor, scent, hand-picked tiles and custom wood, he invites me to enjoy a latte or cappuccino in his lounge where quiet workspaces with custom headphone distractions.

In a boutique spa like atmosphere that oozes comfort, convenience and its’ owners commitment to using the absolute latest technology, Chung is devoted to taking the practice of dentistry in a new direction. He and his team promise an experience that’s sustainable, digital, hospitality focused—and dare I say it, designed to be enjoyable. And, despite the obvious top-drawer benefits, Chung tells us he charges rates that are based on industry standards and the Paste team is doing its best to create an inclusive, equitable and regenerative environment for patients

The Paste Dental space was created by Studio Author, a design group that have produce bars, restaurants, residences and luxury hotels around the world. Studio Author specializes in creating environments that are expressive and experiential, which can definitely be seen and felt throughout the Paste Dental studio. Nearly every detail of the space has been built and created by members coming from under-represented communities and the team works hard to showcase like-minded local businesses.
