Easy like a Sunday morning

TGIS. Let’s face it, there’s a time for work and a time for rest and Sundays are simply a price-tag free luxury. Saturdays are for adventure but Sundays are for cuddling, laughter and time with friends and family.

There’s a lot of “noise” out there right now so, it’s a real treat to have a weekend morning when you can start slowly without the buzzing of an alarm clock. Laid back, happy and cruisy is the order of the day.

For just 10 minutes before you rise, allow your thoughts to wander where they will as you think about what’s ahead. Alongside the yearning for peace and quiet time, studies shows that taking a well deserved, elusive break from the whirlwind of the week is an integral part of personal growth, physical renewal and mental re-charging. That’s what Sundays are made for. They’re a full-day gift that says, slow down and move over world, this is my time.

Sunday is the sweetest day. Sunday brunch, Sunday lunch, Sunday dinner. A warm bath in the afternoon. If your Sunday doesn’t involve a little peace and quiet, couch naps, yoga pants and walking the dog, perhaps you’ve lost the plot.

After all, “a Sunday well spent brings a week of content.”
