The Ritz Paris – A storied history…

Newly released episodes of “The Crown”, show the Ritz Paris, being sold by the famous hotelier’s widow to Mohamed Al-Fayed. Legend has it, however, that it was actually Charles Ritz himself who sold to Al-Fayed who invested heavily to bring it back to its former glory.

Who doesn’t dream of a weekend at the Ritz, in the City of Love, where the table is set for magical moments to happen almost serendipitously.

From an afternoon at the Ritz Private Club and Spa where we pamper ourselves with signature rose massages and ultimate hydration facials to classic French teatime in Salon Proust, our time here is just as wonderful as we’d imagined. We topped it off with a late dinner in Bar Vendôme, the Parisian brasserie that truly deserves its reputation.

Homefront recommends impressing your love with a reservation at either the Suite Impériale or L’Appartement Ritz.

Inspired by the splendour of the Château de Versailles, the Suite Impériale is perfect for lovers of both French history and l’art de vivre.

Alternatively, L’Appartement Ritz is one of a kind for memory making. Accessed by private elevator and attired like an especially chic Paris garret dwelling, the apartment comes with a modern kitchen that makes it hard to imagine you’re staying in a hotel.
