Affordable ‘tweakments’
The fear of negative outcomes or medical complication, along with the desire for frequent uplifts, has caused a surge in demand for non-surgical cosmetic treatments. Once the secret of the rich and famous, there’s now a swath of practitioners including dentists who are looking to tweak your looks as well as your mind and spirit.
Haptic suits connect plants and humans using vibration
By using bioenergy from plants, trees, rocks and crystals, inventor John Wiggins is translating plant and rock frequencies into vibrations that can massage people. Treatments will include wearing what’s called a “haptic suit” and spending time in a fully immersive vibrational cocoon that provides a grounding re-tox connection to nature.
Swaying in Bali
Unique to the Conrad, this 60-minute session starts with a brief meditation to centre the mind before getting into a swing style hammock. Participants are then tucked in weighted blanket and provided with a heated eye pillow to evoke the body’s natural reaction to calm the nervous system and soothe the wandering mind. The experience of being gently rocked in a systemic swaying motion is said to invite the sweet bliss of deep sleep and mimics how one might feel on a fluffy cloud.
