In the heart of SoKi (South of King), Victor Restaurant at Le Germain Hotel Toronto emerged from its design makeover last fall with a nostalgic new menu that turns back time.
Executive Chef Lanny MacLeod’s cuisine is perhaps best described as “Grandma’s cooking on feel-good steroids.” From bountiful seafood towers to 36-oz Tomahawk steaks and his award-winning house-ground burgers, MacLeod’s plates are both satisfying and soulful.
The chef’s style is, to say the least, a perfect complement to the comfortable, lively feel of the hotel’s American-style brasserie ambiance and neighbourhood café and bar. And, in deference to grandma, those of us who simply can’t get enough at Victor can purchase MacLeod’s home-pantry range of sauces, jams, granolas, salts and herbs.
Located at 30 Mercer Street, Le Germain Hotel and Victor Restaurant are within walking distance of all that’s cool.
