Who could ask for a more glamorous interlude…an indulgent weekend with The London NYC as our home base for enjoying New York City’s beloved theatre, ballet and opera offerings? We’d fallen asleep in New York and woken up in London, it seemed. Our “special package” offered breakfast at the London’s Breakfast Bar. Ramsay’s culinary team had changed hats from the night before and now laid on an eye-opening feast of pressed juices, teas, coffees, infusions, Viennoiserie, seasonal fruits, berries and yogurt parfaits. There was also a selection of artisanal cheeses, charcuterie and a selection of cereals accompanied by apple orchard granola.
The writing was on the wall for a lazy morning. After handcrafted cocktails and nibbles in the high-octane London Bar, we had decided to opt for a rather informal dinner at the acclaimed Maze restaurant. The in-house restaurant by Gordon Ramsay is a stylish, yet lively hot spot where it is de rigeur to share a variety of the chef’s innovative small plates.
As Manhattan’s tallest and perhaps best-situated city hotel, The London NYC delivers rare and stirring vista views of Central Park and the New York skyline. Conveniently located in midtown in the centre of New York’s cosmopolitan hub—Fifth Avenue shopping, Broadway theatres, Carnegie Hall and Central Park—it’s mere steps away from the MoMa, the Avenue of the Americas, and the thrills and chills of the financial district. With its timeless sense of elegant ease and intuitive yet discreet service, the LNYC is a showstopper that blends glamour, culture and commerce, making it sure to be a new favourite for leisure and business travelers alike.
