Seaside glamour on the Côte d’Azur

An eye-catching spot in the land of the rich and famous, that’s only open from May until the end of September, La Tartane is a popular destination for couples and families alike. Brightened by a palette of sunny colours, natural materials and whitewashed beams and roof timbers, it’s designed to resemble a Provencal village.

La Tartine: A poetic dialogue between 5-star finesse and seaside fun

Designed by well-known interiors firm Notoire, La Tartane’s 27 rooms and suites set in six colourful seaside houses are named after the actors and muses of the Café Societe—Ernest (Hemingway), Peggy (Guggenheim), Pablo (Picasso), Gabrielle (Chanel), Sara (Murphy), and Scott (Fitzgerald).

Eden on the Cote D’Azur

Each hideaway’s décor is an exercise in style. Stylized drawings are painted on the walls. Rattan headboards are embellished with airy brass rimmed lamps, while carved wooden desks are embellished with jewel handles identical to those on the cupboard doors. Adjoining bathrooms with coloured walls are mixed with grey marble and small white enamel. Ceramic sconces in the shape of shells and scalloped mirrors add a final touch to the space with precision and elegance.

On the warmest of days

Hidden behind a row of planters, the retro swimming pool is surrounded by rattan benches and armchairs covered in terracotta fabric. And, behind the bar, adorned by hand-painted artwork of Joao Incerti, the hotel’s mixologist creates fresh, orangeades and lemonades from the fruits of the gardens.

Open-air art de vivre

By day, surrounded by the shade of citrus trees and carefully planted gardens, the Saint-Amour restaurant has seating for 120 people and a friendly, festive beach club vibe. Come nightfall, the menu features delicate Asian and exotic flavours from Cambodian Chef Maitre Koy.

A must-try and a must stay with local watersport and touring activities aplenty!
