Staying in style

Kick back and relax in one of the Auberge’s 95 individually designed rooms and suites. The hotel provides the perfect balance of preserving its deep antiquity while offering a luxurious modern-day experience. Encompassing a trio of historical buildings, the Auberge was built on a major archeological site and displays a collection of artifacts offering guests a glimpse into the rich history of the oldest colonial city in North America, today a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Adorned with artifacts, each floor pays homage to previous site owners over the centuries showcasing relics from specific eras in time. Enjoy a staff-guided historical tour of the property or indulge in wellness experiences including spa treatments, yoga and a large gym.

Elegant eateries

Set within a historic maritime warehouse dating back to 1822, Chez Muffy is affectionately named after the Auberge’s owner, Martha Bate Price, for her generous spirit and sense of unity. Seasonal menus feature both sharable and individual dishes that will wow your senses. The restaurant’s farm-to-fork fare is sourced from the hotel’s own seasonal farm on Île d’Orléans or from other local farms and suppliers. You will enjoy meticulously prepared gourmet meats, fish and seasonal vegetables while surrounded by stunning views of the St. Lawrence River.

In the evening, head on over to the recently renovated Artefact for live music, a savory mix of sea and comfort cuisine, as well as specialty cocktails and craft beers from its highly acclaimed cocktail menu. The bar offers a glimpse into the history of Quebec, showcasing artifacts such as the Dauphine Battery, as well as many other relics dating back throughout six distinctive eras.

Make memories

An unforgettable experience is waiting for you in Old Quebec City. Just outside the door of the Auberge are charming neighbourhoods filled with antique shops, quaint alleyways, and inviting galleries, restaurants, and cafes, all against the romantic backdrop of the St. Lawrence River.

Adventuresome travellers can take a double zip line across the Montmorency Falls and experience the true power of nature from up above. Explore Jacques-Cartier National Park, one of Quebec’s most breathtaking glacial valleys by way of hiking, snowshoeing, fishing, camping, canoeing or kayaking.

Gorgeous in every season, the city plays host to annual festivals including Quebec City Summer Festival and the Québec Carnaval, the largest winter carnival in the world. Come wintertime, the city transforms into a dreamlike winter wonderland and hosts its own German Christmas Market.

Ranked amongst the top 20 best foodie cities around the world, Quebec City is a true palate pleaser. Indulge in melt-in- your-mouth dishes such as traditional Poutine, Tourtière, Fèves au lard, Pouding chômeur and other traditional Québécois cuisine.

From remarkable architecture and must-see attractions, to the diverse foodie scene, Quebec City is undeniably the ideal destination for travellers around the world.
