A hot and cold delight

From Japan’s Nagano Prefecture, comes a unique dining experience for tourists in snowy Kamakura Village. The pop-up igloo eatery serves lunch and dinner in 20 private snow huts. Inside, visitors can enjoy Noroshi Nabe, a centuries-old hot pot made from Shinshu Miso, Miyuki Pork, and locally grown mushrooms and vegetables, including honshimeji, enoki, and king trumpet. The property also hosts a Shinto Shrine housing a divine rope called a Shimenawa used to ward off evil, and an offering box. The Restaurant Kamakura Village is only open until February 27, 2022 so book quickly before you’re left out in the cold!
