Suyo

From ceviches and tiraditos to causas and anticuchos

Full of the spices, bold flavours and textures that come from indigenous ingredients, Peruvian cuisine is a study in contrasts that Vancouver diners can now enjoy in the Mount Pleasant district.

Launched by team of local industry greats, led by Chef Richardo Valverde, Suyo (meaning homeland) is said to be the first of its kind concept restaurant offering a stylishly modern take on classic dishes from Peru. With a strong focus on seafood pared with vibrant South American wines and a high-altitude bespoke cocktail list that leans heavily on all eight varieties of Pisco, Suyo has but 40 banquette seats in the dining room and 10 at the bar.

The newly constructed space oozes elegance with tropical greenery, natural wood and a well-rounded 500 bottle wine cellar.
