Weighing 1.5 trillion trees

The European Space Agency’s 1.2 ton biomass satellite nicknamed Space Brolly. It was built in the UK and is equipped with radar that can penetrate the forest canopy to map entire trees, to help scientists to determine just how much biomass the Earth’s forests actually contain.
