Sunday brunch

Don’t limit yourself to evening entertaining—why not host a beautiful Sunday Brunch!? We love hosting weekend brunches because they are a more relaxed method of entertaining and make an ordinary Saturday or Sunday feel special. Because we opt for buffet style for our brunches, we live by the saying “the more the merrier.” Whether it’s neighbours who hosted you a while back or friends you haven’t seen in a long time, brunch is the perfect opportunity to host people of all different ages and interests.

The other nice thing about brunch is that it is simple to prepare. While there is still a lot of prep work, don’t stress! Most of the items in this chapter can be prepared ahead of time, and by serving buffet-style, you alleviate the pressure that comes with constantly serving and clearing plates. By the time your guests arrive, all that will be left to do is enjoy your hard work paying off!

Mimosa Bar
Our brunches will always include a prosecco and juice station—allowing guests to get creative and build their own mimosa (and save us time mixing for them).

Classic French Toast
Instead of pancakes or waffles, we opt for French Toast! It’s a little more filling with protein from the eggs, but still satisfies our sweet craving!

Sheila’s Favourite!
Deviled Eggs are a must on our brunch buffet, and a really great way to serve this breakfast staple—since they don’t need to be warm!

Vegan Rice Pudding
We always like to include vegan options—but they still must be delicious! Our almond milk rice pudding with toppings on the side definitely fit the bill.
