The butler is on the job

In keeping with the hotel’s decades old tradition started by founder John, Jacob Asper IV, the butlers are ‘on the job’ at the recently opened St. Regis Chicago suites.

Located on the water’s edge in a unique spot where the city’s famous Chicago River meets Lake Michigan, the shapely 101 storey mixed residential use building is said to be the tallest structure in the world brought to life by architect Jeanne Gang. Studio Gang, her firm, is head-quartered here in Chicago.

Referred to as a absolute architectural marvel, the tower is home to 393 luxury condominium residences and 191 comfortably modern hotel rooms including 33 spacious suites. Of note; several suites are respectfully named after the Aspers. Interesting side note: John Jacob, one of the richest men of his time, died in the sinking of the Titanic during it’s ocean crossing.

St. Regis amenities include a wellness floor with an indoor pool, a sprawling outdoor terrace, a delightful spa and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.

Newly opened standouts; the extra-ordinary dining experience coming from the wood fires of Tuscan steak-house, Tre Dita by award-winning Chef Evan Funke, and the Japanese cuisine and innovative desserts of Miru by Chef Hisanobu Osaka (of Morimoto, Daniel) and Netflix’s School of Chocolate winner, Pastry Chef Juan Gutierrez.
