Seafood extravaganza

When it’s time to pull out all the stops for a memorable evening, we think there’s nothing quite as opulent, or tone setting, for entertaining at home as well put together raw bar.

For the tower, keep the oysters at the top (usually two types) with mignonette sauces, horseradish and some cocktail sauce. Fill out the lower tray with lobster, crab and shrimp with appropriate garnishes. (If you’re pressed for time ask the fishmonger to boil or steam things ahead of time for you).

Preparing an entirely seafood based menu may seem like a daunting task, by sticking to a simple, elegant menu and following our entertaining tips* you’ll find that preparing a raw bar at home isn’t nearly as complicated as it seems.
