Renowned, Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge recently opened his first London restaurant, Kerridge’s Bar & Grill, at the Corinthia Hotel, London.
Tom and Head Chef Nick Beardshaw have created a comfort-food
menu that harks back to some of the most classic and celebrated British dishes. To start, opt for fresh Cornish crab vol-au-vent with avocado, green apple and crab bisque. Stay on the sea theme with fish and chips created with the finest British brill, encased in a crisp batter to maintain the moisture and flavour. It’s served with pease pudding, tartare and “Matson” spiced sauce. Or if you’d rather select a more earthy choice, the mushroom “risotto” with crispy egg and aged parmesan is sumptuous.
Desserts include dark chocolate pudding with crystalized malt biscuit, salted caramel and malted-milk ice cream; and Scottish raspberry and rose geranium trifle with white chocolate, Gin Baba and salted oats.
You might also enjoy the duo’s set Sunday lunch menu, as well as their pre- and post-theatre dining options. Or just sit back and enjoy time in the bar’s curved burgundy leather banquette seating, where an impressive menu of cocktails and delicious bar snacks—including sausage rolls and
Scotch eggs—is on offer.
Design-wise, there’s an eclectic art collection and a striking rotisserie, where roasting large joints of meat, fish and vegetables in front of diners is a key attraction.
