Al Fresco luncheon

There’s something so special about gathering under the sun with good friends and great food. We recently attended an al fresco luncheon at Kamalame Cay, an intimate and exclusive resort in Bahamas where they kept things relaxed but elegant—just the way we like it—which inspire us to bring some of the ideas back home!

The tablescape started with a fun, patterned tablecloth to set the tone, layered with tropical greenery for another pop of colour, and custom menus were added to each place setting giving guests a sneak peek at what
was to come.

From delicate Snapper Crudo to crispy Mini Crab Cakes, the menu was all about fresh, bright flavours that are perfect for a summer afternoon, whether you are on an island, or in your own backyard.

One of our favourite parts of this luncheon that we are sure to adopt for our own was the lobster bisque shooter, served with a splash of amber Caribbean rum that started things off right!
