Adventures in Bistronomy

In the heart of Queen West, on Sudbury Street, Bacchanal’s chill neo-bistro vibe and approachable style make it a treat for a casual evening out or pre-theatre cocktail.

Executive chef and owner Luke Donato learned his culinary, front of house and entrepreneurial skills from some of the best in the industry as did bartender, Jason Griffin. Together, they bring a fresh, imaginative take on French cuisine to Bacchanal.

If you’re up for it, try the plateau de mer with a companion or the carte blanc option with Jason’s wine pairings. The rabbit printaniere and the steak-frites are also favourites with regulars. And the salad jardinière, with its sunflower seeds, yellow raisons and chevre, is worth coming back again and again for. And did I mention the gâteau banane—Banana cream, buttermilk and cashew. Just yummy. Open 7 nights a week.
