First Prize And Three Michelin Stars!

HF TRAVELS, France

Under the direction of beneath-the-radar Italian–Argentine Chef Mauro Colagreco, Mirazur was named the World’s Best Restaurants earlier this year—a position previously held by the likes of The Fat Duck, The French Laundry and Noma. The three-storey restaurant with panoramic views of the sea is in southern France, just a stone’s throw from the Italian border. Inspired by the sea, the mountains, and fruit and vegetables from his garden, the French native offers his curious guests a reservation-only “Mirazur Universe” lunch and dinner menu. Colagreco’s award winners include anchovies with fried skeletons and lemons; oysters with tapioca, shallot cream and pear; and salt-crusted beetroot with caviar cream. Expect a meal for two with wine to run you around $1,000. Take the TGV from Paris or fly directly into Cote d’Azur International and hop on the commuter train to Menton.
