A place that deserves its own architecture
On a unique forest plot bordered by a river on both sides, Riverwave, by the award winning team at Kerimov Architects, is a 7,000 sq. metre residence that creates a feeling that is akin to being on an island.
The home’s dynamic wavy slate roof serves as a metaphor for the movement of water and a protective, visual boundary between public and private spaces. It is built on principles of openness, integration and the use of natural light. To protect the trees a central courtyard element was created that helps bring the natural landscape into the interior spaces as much of possible.
The goal, “To have create a new perspective on the relationship between humanity, nature and architecture”.
