Walking on sunshine…and don’t it feel good

The infectious feel-good energy of sand, sea and summer breezes is back. Salty drinks served with limes and laughter, convertible road trips, staying up late and eating dessert first. Not a care in the world.

Who doesn’t remember those windows down, happy-go-lucky melodies that remain the guilt-free unofficial anthems of school getting out for summer: Beach Boys California Girls. Drifter’s Under the Boardwalk. Janis Joplin’s Summertime. Chubby Checker’s – Twistin’ The Night Away.

Flying kites and riding bikes with friends. Sleepover camp and canoe trips. Nothing important to do but kick back and enjoy.

Now, years later, summer still brings on her exuberant, warm weather charm. Hitting the links at the country club, lounging on the dock, lunch by the lake and time on the boat. The infectious, giddy glee of an afternoon in the swimming pool with the kids. Convertibles in the driveway and garden parties.

The warm summer breeze at night caps off a day well spent and everything feels lighter and looks brighter.

Let’s not forget to express gratitude for the good life.
